The FCC (Foreign Correspondents Club) in Siem Reap is the second venture for this group, and a substantial leap from its legendary hotel and bar in Phnom Penh. This property embraces Cambodiaâs bright future with striking style and character. Formerly the French consulate, the art deco building has been masterfully restored and re-invented.
Chic and elegant, the hotel's 29 rooms and two suites combine luxurious comfort with wide ranging amenities. Designed in open-plan fashion, with sliding doors, low-level lighting and thoroughly modern aesthetic, the designer has employed the available space wonderfully. There is a feeling of expanse, yet intimacy in all rooms. Natural light and soft, neutral-tone colour palettes blend well with the surrounding tropical environment. Rooms are equipped with flat screen televisions, dvd players, free wireless internet, large working desk area and spacious bathrooms.
The Visaya Spa offers massages, facials and therapies. Rooms are spread around a dark blue, salt water swimming pool, truly inviting at any time of day! Detached from the residential area of the property, the main restaurant and bar is located on a raised veranda and outdoor ground-floor terrace, overlooking the river. As with the sister property in Phnom Penh, the restaurant is popular with non-guests â a great place to relax and socialise in delightful surroundings.
The FCC Siem Reap superbly combines the group's age-old experience of hospitality in Cambodia with contemporary design and chic. Small, friendly and comfortable recommended.

Superior - This is our first really 'upmarket' category. It might be a beautiful tiny hotel with very limited facilities or a 5* resort hotel with all the trimmings; but any hotel in this category will be a well-run establishment with very comfortable rooms, a strong service ethos and excellent food.

Just what we were after! Loved the rooms and the overall atmosphere. Restaurant and bar was particularly good - we really enjoyed the evenings here after long days exploring the temples.

The temples at Angkor are mind-blowing and the FCC Angkor was a great base for us, with a very generous happy hour! We took full advantage of the third day on the pass and had the driver for the extra day, which was well worth it.
