The Victoria Hoi An is one of the town's best resort hotels, located just outside the ancient town on a lovely stretch of pristine beach.
The hotel offers various spacious rooms and villas: Japanese, colonial French and ancient Vietnamese. It's unusual for so many styles to be combined but it works well here. With a total of 105 rooms ranging from the Superior Riverview Rooms to the 4 Beachfront Villas and 5 Beachfront Honeymoon Suites, the resort has something to offer a variety of budgets. All are equipped to the general high standard that the Victoria chain has become known for.
The resort is a great beach option for Vietnam. With frequent free shuttle bus services to and from the old town, you can easily divide your time between exploring the myriad of streets and temples of the word heritage area of the town and some old fashioned beach slumber.
There is a central swimming pool around which the rooms are spread, as well as a wide area of beach frontage. The in house spa offers a full menu of treatments and therapies to take the strain off any tired feet or hot bodies. Other facilities worthy of mention are free mountain bike hire, tennis courts, jacuzzis and a fitness centre. The resort also offers a good range of water sports including sailing, water skiing, kayaking and wind surfing. The main building houses several restaurants and bars as well as a library and billiard room. There are also excellent facilities for those with children with a well decorated and equipped kids room and a Children's library.
Excursions offered through the hotel are varied and at times, unusual. The pick of the bunch being a day trip exploring Hoi An and the surrounding countryside by vintage motorbike and sidecar.
Overall the resort is luxurious and yet laid-back enough at the same time to retain an informal and welcoming ambiance.
Rating
Deluxe - Deluxe hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A deluxe hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.

On arrival at the Victoria Hoi An we were told we had been upgraded to a villa with sea view, and what a view it was. We thought we were in paradise! The service was first class and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Also, Hoi An is a beautiful place we loved everything about it, the area, the people and the food. We were reluctant to leave there.
