Kim Tho Hotel is an excellent mid-range town bordering the Mekong River in Can Tho, Vietnam's fifth largest city.

Modern and quirky in design, its fifty rooms offer a variety of shapes and sizes, all decorated in an eclectic, warm and colourful style. All rooms have flat screen televisions, mini bar, internet and en-suite bathrooms. Avoid the Standard rooms as these have no view.

The main restaurant is located on the third floor and serves a variety of Vietnamese, Asian and western cuisine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the rooftop there is a bar and cafe with excellent panoramic views of the surrounding rivers and across the city.

The hotel also has a small spa with jacuzzi, sauna and massage at very reasonable prices.

The Kim Tho is an excellent alternative to the more illustrious Victoria Hotel and offers great value for money in a great riverside location.

Can Tho is the capital of the Mekong Delta region and a colourful treat to the casual visitor. The highlight is the floating markets but Can Tho town is also quite buzzing and full of interesting sights and sounds.

Value - This is our lead in category. There will generally be a no frills approach and while some will be characterful, some will do exactly what it says on the tin – provide a clean, comfortable and good value place to spend the night. These places are normally 3* hotels, but in areas where there is little choice or if it is a very good place, it may be what would generally be described in Asia as a 'guesthouse'.
