This is one of our favourite luxury resorts. The Six Senses Hideaway (previously known as Evason Hideaway at Ana Mandara) manages to achieve the difficult feat of combining barefoot chic and excellent service with an environmentally friendly ethic.

The resort is hidden in a coral fringed bay bordered by dramatic mountains on a secluded peninsula reached by speedboat from Nha Trang. It’s a wonderful place to unwind, be pampered and explore at your own pace. All villas have their own pools and are designed with an open and rustic, wooden feel. They blend cleverly into the natural surroundings, on beach, hill top, rock or over water. You can explore the vast resort on land or water, villas are equipped with mountain bikes and kayaks are also available.

Attentive butlers are on hand 24 hours a day and throughout the resort the efficient staff will always greet you with a friendly smile. Not least in the hotels superb restaurants, one overlooks the stunning bay and another sits above the serene pool. Alternatively personalised beach-side BBQs, in villa dining or intimate dinners in the excellent natural wine cave can be arranged. The head chef presents a unique fusion of European and Vietnamese cuisine and the majority of produce is sourced from local farmers and from the resort's own organic garden. For evening drinks the resort has a funky bar serving excellent cocktails and is designed with the same natural, barefoot theme as the villas, an excellent place to watch the sun set over the bay.

The Six Senses spa, as its name implies, is a special treat for the senses. Treatments are administered in pavilions set in beautiful gardens with the sounds of waterfalls and the smell of incense and oils. The divine, Vietnamese Green Tea Scrub followed by Vietnamese massage is not to be missed.

Each villa type has quite special and unique features. Hill top villas require the negotiation of steps to benefit from incredible panoramic views, water villas are accessed by boat.
