Bespoke Holiday Itinerary / Experience Tour

This 21 day itinerary is designed for first time visitors to Vietnam & Cambodia. The trip begins in chaotic Phnom Penh, then moves onto the glorious temples of Angkor before heading to bustling Ho Chi Minh City. In Vietnam it takes in the world heritage sites of Hoi An and Hue on the central coast before finishing in Hanoi.

The itinerary incorporates privately guided tours as well as plenty of flexibility and time. We include visits to the Mekong Delta in the south and an overnight cruise out to spectacular Halong Bay in the north.

For those with a few extra days to spare it can be extended to take in a trip into the mountains and to the beautiful town of Sapa, or amended to include extra beach time.

We can speed up this tour for those with less time - but this tour moves at a relaxed pace and is designed to leave you plenty of time to relax and do your own thing.

DAYS 1, 2 & 3

Depart UK. Arrive Phnom Penh the next day. Stay at the Pavilion hotel for two nights. Includes a day tour of the royal palace, killing fields, toul sleng museum.

DAYS 4, 5 & 6

Short flight up to Siem Reap for 3 days exploring the amazing temples of Angkor, accommodation at the Pavilion D'Orient. Includes two full guided day tours of the temples of Angkor, one of the world's greatest historical sites.

DAYS 7, 8, 9 & 10

Fly from Siem Reap to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to The May hotel which is in an excellent location to explore. Whilst in Ho Chi Minh City either a guided morning city tour or a half day trip to the Cu Chi tunnels is included. On the third day a full day trip to the Mekong Delta is included.

DAYS 11, 12, 13 & 14

You will be transferred to the airport for a short flight up to Danang and then a short drive to the fabulous town of Hoi An. Accommodation is at the Ancient House where you can relax in pleasant surroundings, hit the beach or head into town to see the sights and do some shopping. Hoi An is famous for its numerous tailors who will copy or design any clothes you wish, the prices are fantastic and the range of silks and other materials is endless.

DAYS 15 & 16

A 3 hour scenic drive to Hue where you stay at the beautiful Pilgrimage Village. Whilst in Hue we will include a tour of the e historic Imperial City, you can also hire bikes or take a cyclo ride (rickshaw) to see the tombs, or enjoy a pleasant boat ride on the serene Perfume River.

DAYS 17, 18, 19 & 20

From Hue you fly to Hanoi and stay at the Maison D'Hanoi in the heart of the city. You are a short walk away from the old city and the Hoan Kiem Lake, a beautiful place to watch the sunset. There are several museums, shops and excellent eateries along Hanoi’s tree lined boulevards and it’s a great city to spend a few days. During your time in Hanoi we include an overnight trip to Halong bay where you will cruise the spectacular bay and stay overnight on a traditional junk boat.

Day 21

Transfer to the airport for your homewards flight.
