Info : Elephant Hills
Elephant Hills is a tented camp site in the Khao Sok National Park. Set on the banks of a river and bordering the Khao Sok National Park, the camp is located amidst stunning jungle scenery.
Accommodation is in stilted tents, with proper beds and attached bathrooms. Spacious and comfortable, they offer everything you need. The resort has an impressive thatched central building, constructed from bamboo and other natural materials. This serves as the main restaurant and bar, and a hang out area for guests after a hard day in the forest. Food is hearty and plentiful and there is even a decent selection of wines available! Camp fires can be lit and staff are very accommodating at taking care of their guests needs.
Excursions vary. Canoeing trips on the river, rafting excursions, elephant rides and guided treks of the glorious national park are some favourites. We would usually suggest an itinerary for a trip here but you can tailor activities and excursions to suit your interests.
Elephant Hills will suit adventurous, nature lovers. The staff experienced at leading excursions and equipment is a very high standard. Khao Sok park is one of the biggest and finest in Thailand, with a range of flora and fauna including a flower called the Rafflesia Kerri, only found here, which can reach a staggering 60 centimetres in diameter.
Rating
Eco/Outdoors/Homestay - This category covers gorgeous eco lodges in the jungle, comfortable safari camps, very basic homestays and dreamy, but simple, beach cabanas. These places defy conventional categorisation: what is communing with nature to one person may be terrifying bugs to another! Many of these places are very comfortable and the service generally of a very high level – but a guest staying at any place in this categorisation must read the website review carefully and/or talk to us and be sure to have understood what they are letting themselves in for!
