Ariyasom Villa is a beautiful 25 bedroom property in the heart of Bangkok. Built around a lovely 1940s house, the hotel has the charm of a bygone era but with all the creature comforts of the modern world.

Set around a landscaped garden the low rise buildings are designed in a traditional Thai style with teak wood floors, handmade silks and antique furniture. All rooms have high ceilings, king size beds, en suite bathrooms with bath and shower and plenty of natural light. Some rooms have private balconies.

The intimate "Na Aroon" restaurant serves a variety of cuisine with only the finest organic ingredients in a delightful room overlooking the garden. A small spa is located in a wooden sala and offers a range of traditional Thai massages along with a jacuzzi and a steam room.

Unlike many of the small hotels in Bangkok, the Ariysom Villa has a great pool. Flanked by sun loungers on one side and a selection tables, chairs and parasols on the other, this terrace bar area is a great spot to enjoy a drink or read a book. The property is blessed with having a lot of trees and there is plenty of natural shade.

The property is capably run by husband and wife team David and Ariya and the house has been in her family since it was built. David himself is vastly experienced in the trade and this project is very much a labour of love for them both. The atmosphere is friendly and laid back and staff are charming. It is very unusual to find hotel in the city with this level of sophistication and such a relaxed and informal atmosphere.

The hotel is ideally located on Sukhumvit Soi 1 in the heart of the city. It's a mere 500 metres from the Skytrain station at Ploen Chit which makes it an ideal base for exploring Bangkok. Highly recommended.
