Info : Temples
A 'Wat' is a Thai Buddhist temple or monastery. In most cases it is a cluster of buildings, shrines, and monuments. Throughout Thailand there are opportunities to visit temples with a local guide who will explain how they represent periods throughout Thai history. Most temples feature, gold or emerald and sometimes reclining Buddhas. Your guide will explain their varying significance. In Bangkok you can visit various temples in conjunction with a trip to the Grand Palace in a short morning or afternoon tour.
Please talk to us about organising these tours in Bangkok or Chang Mai.
