This is an exciting and well paced privately guided highlights tour of Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam.
Whilst the hotels included in this tour are all great quality character places we can also offer an upgraded version of this tour with a higher grade grade of hotels. Please speak to our consultants for more information.
You will spend 3 weeks visiting some of the highlights of South East Asia including:
- The Wonders of Angkor
- The beautiful town of Luang Prabang
- Busy, bewildering Hanoi and a lazy night on Halong Bay.
- Magical Hoi An and historical Hue.
- Final few nights in Saigon, exploring the legacy of the recent past and the timeless charm of the Mekong Delta.

Day-to-Day Itinerary : Cambodia and Laos to Vietnam
Day 1
Fly overnight to Siem Reap
Days 2-5 Siem Reap
3 night's accommodation at The Pavilion D'Orient and 2 days with a guide and driver exploring the majestic temples of Angkor. You'll visit the most famous temple Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom, Bayon and also Ta Prohm. Ta Phrom is overgrown with the roots and limbs of Banyan Trees and famously featured in the Tombraider films! You'll also visit Tonle Sap Lake.
Days 5-9 Luang Prabang
A short flight from Cambodia to Laos where you will land in the magical town of Luang Prabang, accommodation is at the boutique style Apsara Hotel. Whilst in Luang Prabang we include a full day exploring the towns main attractions including viewing the spectacular early morning Buddhist Alms Giving ceremony where the sight of hundreds of local monks parading through the streets in their saffron robes will inspire many a photo! Luang Prabang is a fantastic place to explore on foot or by bicycle as there is little traffic.
Days 9-12 Hanoi and Halong Bay
A short flight to Hanoi and stay in a deluxe room at the Maison D'Hanoi in heart of the Old Quarter. The old city is right on your doorstep and the Hoam Kiem Lake, a beautiful place to watch the sunset, is nearby. There are several museums, shops and excellent eateries along Hanoi's tree lined boulevards and it's a great city to spend a few days in. During your time in Hanoi we include a full day city tour and a full day trip to Halong Bay where you will cruise the spectacular bay.
Days 12-14 Hue
On arrival you check in at the Orchid Hue. You will have a guided tour in Hue taking you to the historic Imperial City and famous tombs. You can also hire bikes, take a cyclo ride (rickshaw) or enjoy a pleasant boat ride on the serene Perfume River.
Days 14-17 Hoi An
Travel overland to Hoi An via the Hai Van Cloudy Pass, a spectacular three hour coastal drive with numerous photo opportunities on the way. On arrival your guide and driver will meet you for a tour of the Danang area and an introduction to Hoi An. Accommodation is at the Ancient House Hoi An where you can relax in pleasant surroundings, hit the beach or head into town to see the sights and do some shopping. Hoi An is a great place to explore independently with its pretty lantern and camellia lined streets and excellent restaurants. We really recommend catching the colourful morning markets or even taking a cookery course here (ask us for details). Hoi An is famous for its numerous tailors who will copy or design clothes, the prices are fantastic and the range of silks and other materials is endless.
Days 17-20 Ho Chi Minh City
The final part of your tour takes you to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) where you stay at The Duxton hotel located in an excellent location to explore this exciting city. Whilst in Ho Chi Minh City we include a full day guided tour of the city and the Cu Chi tunnels. On the third day a full day trip to Cai Be in the Mekong Delta is included, the day trip includes lunch and a boat trip through the picturesque canals and fruit plantations.
Days 20 -21 Homeward bound
Transfer to the airport for your flight home.
