At around 8.30am you will be collected by your guide and driver and transfer by private vehicle to the south of Vientiane to visit the Xieng Khuan Buddha Park, approximately 25 kilometres from Vientiane city. Built in 1958 this park on the banks of the Mekong River is the site of a large collection of many kinds of Buddhist and Hindu Sculptures. En route take a look at the impressive Friendship Bridge and the National Cultural Park, also located on the banks of the Mekong. If time permits take a visit to the Talaat Sao Vientianes morning market, which is open all day! This is a wonderful venue for shopping and encountering the charming and fun-loving Laotians. Stop and try some local coffee and snacks while looking around. The remainder of the day is at own arrangements.
