Puri Ganesha is a collection of four private villas on the remote North Western coast of Bali. Set in a beautiful tropical garden with views out over a tranquil bay the hotel is an incredibly personal and laid back way to enjoy traditional Balinese style and comfort.

Serviced in much the same way as any boutique hotel, the villas with their 12m long individual swimming pools, are models in unpretentious luxury and reflect the love, care and attention given to them for over 15 years by the English interior designer who owns and runs the property. A mix of one, two and three bedrooms, all of the villas have a large garden and indoor bathrooms, air-conditioned bedrooms, large downstairs living areas, big bedrooms and are furnished with locally sourced, wooden antiques and personally designed soft furnishings.

The organic menu is excellent and can be eaten in the villa or the beachfront main restaurant. The menu is sourced from local produce wherever possible and is always, simple, fresh and seasonal and changes daily. The service is wonderfully personalised and both the local staff and the owner, will do everything in their power to ensure that your stay is memorable.

This is a hotel in which you can very happily while away the days doing very little, taking in the stunning setting, lounging by the pool, reading a book, swimming in the inviting sea or going for a gentle stroll in the surrounding low lying volcanic hills. However, for those looking for a little more activity there are various treks, waterfalls, boat trips and diving and snorkeling expeditions available that can be easily arranged through the hotel.

Deluxe - Deluxe hotels would have a superb level of service, very comfortable and usually spacious bedrooms, excellent food, great design and character. For us, when we visited, these places all had the 'wow factor'. A deluxe hotel should satisfy the criteria of the most discerning clients.
