La Villa is a small French run boutique hotel across the river from Battambang city centre. Set in a 1930s colonial building the hotel and its restaurant provide an atmospheric location. The hotel is a good value stop for any stay in Battambang.
The hotel has 7 individually styled and shaped rooms split into 5 standard and 2 superior. All the rooms are of a good size, have a/c, hot water and a T.V and are decorated with art deco furniture, wooden antiques, marbled bathrooms and historical photos. The superior rooms are significantly larger and have the addition of a terrace, mini-bar and a larger T.V.
There is a large cocktail bar/restaurant with a high glass ceiling and a decent sized outside terrace and pool. The menu has a good quality selection of Western and Asian foods, while the bar is well stocked with a large selection of cocktails.
La Villa is suitable both for a short or an extended stay in Battambang. It is within easy walking distance of the city centre and is a good base to explore the city and the surrounding area. Is a also a great place to relax in the evening or during the day.
