A 16 day tour that is designed for people who like to get off the beaten track and see nature at its finest, while also enjoying the majestic wonder of the Angkor Temples. It combines sightseeing in Siem Reap, Phnom Penh and Bangkok with 4 days beach relaxation on the untouched tropical paradise of Koh Kood and 3 days exploring the remote waterways, forests and stunning scenery of the Cardamom Mountains.

Day-to-Day Itinerary : Angkor to Bangkok Overland

DAY 1

Depart UK.

DAYS 2 - 5 SIEM REAP

 

3 nights accommodation at The F.C.C Angkor and 2 days with a guide and driver exploring the breath taking temples of Angkor. Youll visit the most famous temple Angkor Wat as well as Angkor Thom, Bayon and also Ta Prohm. Ta Phrom is overgrown with the roots and limbs of Banyan Trees and famously featured in the Tombraider films! There will also be plenty of time to explore some of the more remote temples and visit the floating villages on the Tonle Sap. For those more active travellers we can arrange bike tours which are a great way to get away from the crowds!

DAYS 5 - 7 PHNOM PENH

A 50 minute morning flight down to Phnom Penh. A full day tour is included and you will visit the Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda, Emerald Buddha and the National Museum. Youll also have the chance to visit Toul Sleng, formerly used by the Pol Pot regime as a detention centre, and the killing fields. This is a moving example of the difficulties faced by Cambodia between 1975 & 1979. Accommodation is at the Pavilion hotel.

DAYS 7 - 10 CARDAMOM MOUNTAINS

A morning transfer from Phnom Penh through the Cardamom Mountains in Cambodias remote South West. You will take a short boat trip along a peaceful river until you get to 4 Rivers Floating Lodge, where you will have three nights to relax, explore and take in the idyllic surroundings. A variety of activities, based around the waterways and its surrounding nature and wildlife, are available.

DAYS 10 - 14 KOH KOOD

You will cross the border into Thailand at Koh Kong and be transferred to Trat, from where you will take the short boat trip to Koh Kood, one of the few Thai Islands to retain the feel of a tropical paradise. Spend four nights at the fantastic Shantaa Koh Kood, relaxing on the quiet and untouched white sand beaches.

DAYS 14 16 BANGKOK

Take the short flight back to Bangkok and a return to fast living! Spend two nights at Ariyasom Villa, a stunning boutique hotel in the heart of Bangkok. A personal guide is included to take you to the sites that take your fancy, from the Royal Palace to a boat trip through the never ending waterways and of course the simply unbeatable food stalls!

DAY 16

A final transfer to Bangkok Airport for your flight home.
